whether you’re ready for a big change, you haven’t had a cut in a million years, oooooor you have a sh*t ton of hair… this is the right stop for you. We may need to take some deep breaths and a little extra time. You’re in great hands, we don’t want to rush it.
(disclaimer: the “+” will be applied if we encounter an extreme Rapunzel type situation)

Congratulations! You have officially made it to LEVEL TWO of our price menu starring the word “ish”. Color services can not be 100% quoted until the service is finished.. The reason: Our pricing is based on our product used as well as service cost (or in plumber speak: parts+labor) … soOOoo we can do our best to give you an “ish” quote prior to your service… but can’t give you anything exact until the color is mixed in the bowl. Don’t worry, we’re not monsters! We will always work with you on finding the best hair possibilities that will honor your budget and lifestyle.
We love big changes!!! The journey of a color transformation is unique to each guest and stylist. Together, we will work towards your goal using our best discretion, skill and communication. So much to say, so little time! Read below to learn about different pricing options and opportunities.
We’re happy to offer portfolio pricing with stylists who are working towards perfecting specific looks, skills or techniques. Portfolio appointments can sometimes take a little longer than a typical service and we do ask that you’re comfortable having your photo taken so that we can use the experience to help build our portfolio… In return, you get a professional service for sweet sweet pricing.
Currently, Avery is offering portfolio pricing on all services minus tats and tikes. Other stylists will post portfolio opportunities on their social media… so feel free to creep their pages to snag those spots.
Specialty pricing will be charged by mentor stylists who are experts in a specific service category(s). This pricing will reflect the knowledge, demand and experience of your stylist.
Currently, Kristina is offering specialty pricing for new client requests.
If a stylist accommodates an appointment outside of their work schedule, an “out of hours” premium will be charged. It’s like when your furnace goes on Christmas eve… it’s possible to get fixed, but it generally costs more. If you’re looking to book an appointment outside of your stylist’s scheduled hours, please reach out and we can try our best to accommodate. Please note: we can not guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all “out of hours” appointment requests.
Prices will not be determined by your gender, in fact, you will be charged based on the service you are receiving… makes sense right? Please trust that your stylist is using their best judgement. We will be honest with you and keep the integrity of your hair as a top priority.
Price estimates are built into your visit, so please let us know if you have any questions or are on a set budget. As a Green Circle Salon, a 1.25 eco-fee will be added to all hair services.
Please read Junction policies prior to booking your visit… we want to be on the same page with y’all. Please note: there is a chance your stylist might reach out to you requesting an appointment time adjustment, this is to ensure the stylists feel confident in the amount of time allotted for the service booked.
Hope to see you soon.. in the meantime: be safe, be kind, be weird.

Helpful hacks to keep your fresh colour looking its best.
If you have a fresh pastel colour or anything in the grey/silver variety… without proper maintenance and care, your colour could realistically fade out within 1-3 washes. If you read our helpful guide and give your hair the care it deserves, it’ll stay vibrant for a whole lot longer!
1. Wait a full 72 hours (3 days) post hair colour before washing your hair. Give your hair a chance to simmer back down and settle into it’s new tone before sudsing up.
2. Wash your hair in cold water.
3. Use a professional, colour safe shampoo and conditioner. (We love Olaplex #4 and #5 as well as Evo hair Ritual Salvation or Therapist… when in doubt, ask your stylist for a recommendation.)
4. Wash your hair less. 2-3 washes/week is more then enough. Professional dry shampoo will be your friend to help avoid extra washes.
Fun Fact: the more you wash your hair, the faster it will become “oily”… your body is conditioned to produce oil when it is lacking.. so the more you remove the oil, the faster your body will produce it.
5. Use a customized coloured conditioner. If you have a high maintenance colour or a signature tone, let’s send you home with your new best friend! You can literally refresh or boost your own colour at home with Fabuloso and Fabuloso Pro pigmented conditioners.
6. No Swimming! Chlorine can really “F” with your hair colour. If you have to take a dip, try a swim cap… oooor put conditioner on damp hair and tie it up in a tight knot or braid to help reduce the chlorine intake.
7. Save your hair from the sun. Hats are your friend. Just like our skin, our hair needs to be protected from the UV rays. We love Evo’s Happy Campers as a leave in conditioning treatment that protects for the environment.
8. Easy on the heat styling! Styling your hair with heat can really fade your colour… not to mention remove moisture from your hair. Try to reduce your heat styling. Turn your temperature down (220c/430f) and use a professional heat protection spray.. we really dig Evos icon welder for smoother finishes and Mister Fantastic for a more textured result.
9. Is your tone too far gone? We offer “maintenance services”… so for example: if you’re still happy with the pattern of your highlights but the tone has faded, we can book your in for a colour refresh/tone to add the pigment back into your hair to tide you over until your next appointment.
10. Healthy hair will hold colour best, with the highest amount of shine and reflect. Weekly conditioning treatments and regular trims are a great way to go above and beyond for your hair.
11. Removal: Thinking of switching up your colour? Welp, let’s start the conversation! Keeping your colour vibrant is one thing, and removing it is another. As soon as you’re thinking of a colour change, start using a clarifying shampoo (we love evo hair Normal Person Shampoo) annnnd talk to your hairdresser! Together, we can come up with the best plan to transition you into your new shade.
The big disclaimers behind chemical services and product sensitivities.
Chemicals are Chemicals. We source and use the most gentle, effective products on the market, though even with that, there is always a risk of irritation and sensitivities. There are always options and different approaches when it comes to coloring. Please read the following information carefully and only proceed with a chemical service if you’re feeling informed and comfortable with the process.
~ can my hair handle being colored, is it healthy? If you’re unsure, your stylist can help.. just remember, if your hair was once blonde and you colored it dark… that blonde hair still lives underneath. Hair history is very important to communicate to set yourself up for success.
~ consider doing a few treatments before receiving a color service. Not sure how to prep your hair for best results? We’ve got you! Just reach out to your Junction stylist and we can make some recommendations. Not all treatments are created equal.
~ have you used any henna or non professional color products on your hair, if so please disclose and do not try to hide this from your stylist (a test strand may need to be preformed 48hours-14days prior to your chemical service).
~ please come to your appointment with clean dry hair but try not scrub or irritate your scalp the morning of your appointment
~ we strongly recommend a skin sensitivity test(patch test) be done 48 hours prior to your color application to test your skins tolerance to the product
~ be prepared to be in the salon for an longer period of time
~ be aware of any sensations you are feeling on or around your scalp and please inform your stylist oh any uncomfortable sensations.
~ you have now permanently altered the state of your hair, it will feel different
~ treatments that have bond building technology are best suited to keep your hair in tip top shape (k18 or olaplex)
~ avoid excessive heat styling
~ do not wash for 48-72 hours
~ using cold water will best preserve most hair colors but especially “fashion” colors
~ some staining may occur on your scalp and skin around your hairline, this is normal and will go away eventually
~ can my hair handle it, is it healthy enough???
~ definitely do treatments beforehand
~ do not wash your hair the morning of your appointment (or 24 hours before maybe, whichever makes more sense)
~ it is important not to irritate the scalp prior to applying lightener to the scalp
~ a patch test must be done 48 hours prior to every on scalp lightening service, the service cannot not be done if any irritation occurs
~ be prepared to be in the salon for a long period of time
~ lightening the hair exposes all of your natural underlying pigments, these pigments include; red, orange and yellow.
~ irritation may occur, such as; burning or itching. If this occurs please inform your stylist and they will rinse immediately. Please note, affects of a reaction/chemical burn don’t often present itself until hours-days post the service. It is a risk putting chemicals on your scalp.
~ if the skin irritation spreads rapidly, you feel faint, dizzy, have breathing difficulties, and/or there is swelling of the face or eye please seek medical attention immediately
~ powdered lightener contains ingredients that may cause irritation to some individuals
~ irritation does not always occur during the chemical service, often times blisters and sores won’t occur until 12-24 hours later, if this happens please let your stylist know immediately, be gentle with your scalp (don’t wash, pick, scratch or irritate). Seek medical attention if effects worsen.
~ you have now permanently chemically altered the state of your hair. It may feel and behave differently
~ we recommend using regular treatments, treatments that have bond building technology are best suited for hair that has been lightened using powdered lightener (k18 or olaplex are examples if bond building products)
~ any hair that has been lightened and then colored/toned is going to require some form of color maintenance such as toning shampoo/conditioner or a custom mixed colored conditioner. You can also come into the salon for these refresh services
~ shampooing and conditioning in cold water is best suited for colored hair
~ use less or low heat on your hair when styling
When in doubt, talk to your stylist. We’ve got you and will give you the best advice possible with the knowledge we have.
